Elevate America, Now In 32 States And DC

With the addition of Colombia and Ohio, Louisiana, today, 32 states and territories have now joined the initiative to improve the United States, we launched 15 months ago to provide them and certification, to help people in the United States access to cost-free technical training to find employment.So far, we have provided over 800,000 free training, and through Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland partnership of authentication credentials, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

We learned from a lot of work with these countries. They each face a complex economic challenges, but it is very encouraging, how they work to reduce unemployment. The purpose is to help improve the United States to enhance workforce skills, computer skills, especially in today's job requirements of the half, which would be expected in the next 7710 years, the employment opportunities created by new requirements. Of course, only a set of skills, computer skills, people need to find a job, but we have seen first-hand how to obtain these important skills can be.

Now, in Louisiana and Ohio and the country, people will continue to visit the summer training and certification. We also look at how we can use their learning from this program to make it more effective.

For example, Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans and the unemployment rate is 20 percent higher than nonveterans. Although well-trained veterans of the military and leadership skills, many lack formal education, training and certification, the employer requests.This year in March, we announced to improve the United States Veterans Initiative , which will support the active duty personnel and their spouses, their transition to military assistance, the National Guard and Reserve members and their return to their civilian job. Microsoft will donate two million U.S. dollars in cash and up to 600 million in software in the next two years to help support the technical training.We also cooperate and assist in providing such as child care and transportation assistance, job placement, career counseling and other critical support services to help ensure a successful transition to civilian work force.
